Epstein Files Reveal New Wave of Scandal

Epstein files — Americans are calling for the Epstein files to be released. The Epstein files are the documents detailing the criminal activities of American financier and convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his affiliates.
With a portion of the Epstein files being released last month, it further reveals connections late financier Jeffrey Epstein had with powerful people.
“He (Jeffrey Epstein) counted among his friends former President Bill Clinton, Donald Trump and Prince Andrew, along with some of the most prominent legal, scientific and business minds in the country.” according to an internal Department of Justice file of a court case involving a local newspaper, The Palm Beach Post, to get information about Epstein in 2019.
With the release of these files, reputations continue to be tarnished. U.S. President Donald Trump is part of the files and Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche said that he will not keep that information out of the files.
“Later on Sunday, the Justice Department republished the deleted image of the credenza in Mr. Epstein’s home that held the picture of Mr. Trump. ‘After the review, it was determined there is no evidence that any Epstein victims are depicted in the photograph, and it has been reposted without any alteration or redaction,’ the Justice Department said in a statement on social media,” the New York Times reports.
In one of the files, Trump speaks about Epstein in a positive way calling him a “terrific guy” after knowing him for 15 years.
According to the file, Epstein Part 17(redacted) on the Department of Justice`s website, which is from a New York Post article in Oct. 2002 where Trump said, “‘He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it — Jeffrey enjoys his social life.’”
A newspaper clipping in that same file from Palm Beach Post showed that Epstein was bidding against Trump for a 43,000 square foot estate in Palm Beach, Florida owned by healthcare magnate Abe Gosman, with Trump winning over Epstein by $41.35 million.
The files also mention former Prince Andrew when an anonymous Jeffrey Epstein survivor using the name Jane Doe was still a minor and was trafficked to him and Epstein, but he had denied these allegations.
Jane Doe turned out to be Virginia Roberts, and later as Virginia Roberts Giuffre when she married in 2002. Once her identity was known, the Duke of York denied even meeting her.
In 2010, Prince Andrew publicly claimed that he severed ties with Epstein and Epstein’s close associate and girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving 20 years in federal prison.
In 2011, a photo was released by the Mail showing Prince Andrew`s arm around Giuffre`s waist with Maxwell standing behind them. In the same year, emails surfaced showing Prince Andrew had not severed ties with Maxwell and Epstein as he had said the year before, since Maxwell sent Prince Andrew the email of The Mail article with a photo of the pair included.
In 2019, Prince Andrew gave an interview to the BBC claiming that he had never met Guiffre and suggested the photo was doctored.
Late last month, in the Department of Justice files regarding Epstein, in a different email sent to Prince Andrew, Epstein confirmed that he had taken the photo of the two. The release of internal documents from the DOJ from the Office of International Affairs in the Criminal Division that tied Prince Andrew to Epstein confirmed this as well.
There was a civil suit in 2021 by Giuffre accusing Prince Andrew of sexual abuse and battery when she was sex-trafficked by Epstein and was forced to have sex with the Duke of York when she was a minor. A year later, Prince Andrew settled with Guiffre in an out-of-court civil suit without admitting wrongdoing and did not issue an apology.
Giuffre`s lawyer continually asked Prince Andrew for full cooperation into the investigation, such as a sworn testimony to authorities regarding his connection to Epstein, but he refused to do so.
When Prince Andrew`s involvement with Epstein continued to follow him in 2025, bad publicity associated with the Royal Family persisted.
In April 25, 2025, Giuffre committed suicide, and six months later on Oct. 21, her memoir, Nobody’s Girl, was posthumously published, resulting in Prince Andrew being stripped of his royal titles nine days later on Oct. 30. He is now known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
In addition to losing his royal titles, he was also evicted from Royal Lodge and had to relocate to Sandringham Estate off the coast of Southeast England.
When he married Sarah Ferguson in 1986, his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, bestowed the title of Baron Killyleagh to him, which was erased in late October. Not only was former Prince Andrew affected, but also his ex-wife, Ferguson, was stripped of her title as Duchess of York. Fortunately, their children, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, still have their royal titles.
